Went for Andrew and Rina's wedding dinner last night...And for once, it wasn't as boring a night as other wedding dinners I've attended in the past...There was actually more people my age at my table than there are adults! Haha, think uncle lim specially arranged it this way...So at least all of us youths will have someone to talk to. Debbie was placed at the same table as I was, so there was already someone there I knew...:P Then there was her bro Dominic (President's scholar who had just graduated from Cambridge and had just returned to Singapore..Wah so zai...), Lynette, "Hyper" (err that's how it's pronounced anyway...don't know how to spell it...:P) and his bro...Not bad, they were all quite nice to talk to...:P Oh, and Debbie, Dominic and I have dubbed this wedding the marriage of James Lye and Corrinne May...Haha, cos Andrew looks somewhat like James Lye with his specs off, and Rina looks practically like Corrinne May's twin! Talking about which, Dominic actually interviewed her (Corrinne May, that is...) in person before! Wah I'm jealous...:P Oh, and he also knows Lianne! Haha...what a small world...;) It was good to see Debbie again though and to catch up on things, cos we usually only meet once a year during chinese new year...and she didn't even go this year...Learnt she's either trying Cambridge for Econs, or Oxford for PPE...Haha, I'm sure she'll get in...As smart as her bro...:P Oh, and Lynette was quite poor thing initially...Had to seat alone at our table while her parents sat at some other table quite far away...Could see she was quite down at first..but luckily after a few round of 'musical chairs'...she ended up seating next to me instead of being squashed between the adults...and after a while we managed to talk quite a bit...:P "Hyper" and his bro i didn't talk to much the whole evening though...but that's cos they were seated so far away...Plus from what I could hear from their conversations with Dominic, they were mostly talking about army life (argh guy talk...:P)
Anyway, what's a wedding dinner without talking about its food? ;) Haha, can't exactly remember how many courses there were...But just know that there was A LOT...We girls were so full by the time the chicken was served that we started eating very little for each course, while the guys...being guys...actually started complaining when the chicken was taken away before they had eaten their fill...and were all "Hey what happened to our chicken? How come after we finish talking, then it's gone already?!" :P Oh, and dessert was a dessert buffet! Haha, there was tirimisu, cheese cake, chocolate mousse, fruits and bread and butter pudding (yum my fav!!) Pity I was already so full by then that I couldn't eat much...darn...;) Haha, and Lynette couldn't even bring herself to eat any cos she was so full, even though I kept asking her to go get some or it'll be such a waste, since the dessert was SO GOOD..:P
