Exams are OVER! Let the celebrations begin!! :D
Lesson learnt: you really CAN die sitting in patrick's car. Py, puddles and I ignored the numerous words of caution from friends and decided to brave the risk of hitching a ride with him, to many wishes of 'good luck' and 'all the best'. :P
Situation 1: The car mounts the kerb as we are getting out of the btc carpark
Situation 2: In his excitement in explaining something to JQ, Patrick raises BOTH hands off the steering wheel
Situation 3: We noticed some law school ppl crossing a traffic junction as we were waiting at the red light, and Patrick gets out of the car to wave hi
Situation 4: Whilst getting out of the car to insert his cashcard at the brewerkz carpark, the handbrake is not engaged properly, and the car starts rolling downwards
Situation 5: Patrick decides that the numerous columns within the carpark form an obstacle course that he should zigzag around.
Omg and all these are BEFORE we even entered into brewerkz. Lol, imagine what he'd be like AFTER drinking. :P To give him some credit though, he's not a bad driver per se, but all of us certainly did NOT 'have fun', as he so insists. :P
Turned out that there was a mini law school gathering of sorts at brewerkz. One should just look at the NUMBER of people who turned up, with or without a prior plan to meet the other groups. Amazing. Finally managed to sink my teeth into the much-awaited fish & chips (since karen's farewell, which i was greatly anticipating, was cancelled. :( ) and the brewerkz' bbq combo, which py, puddles and i shared. Weirdly the food was not as great as i remembered it to be, but perhaps that's just because i had too high expectations of it, considering how long i'd waited for this. :P Also confirmed today of my great DISTASTE for beer. Golden ale, indian pale ale...whatever it is i'm given, i'm just not too fond of the bitterness, and even less so of the aftertaste. If given a choice, my dad's concoction of rum+root beer is still WAY better. :P
Oh, and watched spiderman 3 with puddles, junyi and junrong! Because i don't want to give spoilers, shall not reveal too much. But the villians in this instalment are bigger and badder, and there are those requisite shocking moments when the villians suddenly appear that will keep viewers gripping to their seats. (yesyes junrong...i know i took my description of that rather literally...no need to burst out laughing whenever i happen to jump up in shock during the movie. :P) What makes this movie even greater is that, in addition to the cool action sequences and amazing digital effects, it also has a touching storyline that will tug at one's heartstrings, esp towards the end. Definitely a show that is worth one's time and money watching. :D Haha, i wonder if we'd really managed to catch a 4k digital show as advertised in the newspapers though. Junyi was so excited about it that we got dragged all the way to marina square in the hope of getting greater resolution. Well, from what i saw, the 'individual sand grains' (something the 4k digital screen promised to showcase in great detail) were clear enough. :P
