Back from law camp! It was great getting to know more ppl, both the freshies and ppl from my own batch, even though the sleep was CLEARLY less than sufficient.
Day 0: Contrary to what i was planning to do before setting off for temasek hall (i.e. sleep), ended up going to bed at 4am after losing 7 bucks at mahjong. Darn I wish for once I could win money! :P Was so tired that I actually zha4 hu2, but thankfully the rest were kind enough not to penalise me for it, or I would have gotten seriously broke before the camp had even started. Haha, but immediately on the next day, everyone who heard about it wanted me to play with them...Clearly after my money. Tsk. :P
Day 1:
Ice-breakers and
Land Telematch turned out well. The OG was really sporting in getting dirty and wet and doing the forfeits, even though we seemed to be losing most of the time. Have a really sporty bunch though. We won a lot of the physical activities, and those that we lost, it's cos the station-masters were biased. :P (Think Sam throwing an entire pail of water on Nich and then declaring that we lost cos Nich was wetter. :P)
Night Court didn't really go as expected though, but that's really none of my OG ppl's fault. Some of the freshies are really quite attitude. Even though they figured out that the 'judges' were really just students, they refused to do as told. One freshie even went 'i think this is extremely unprofessional and i'm absolutely not going to do anything you ask me to', and then walked out of the moot court! But was quite proud of the OG5 peeps for doing everything that is thrown their way, even with the potential embarrassment. Bentson willingly put on the Afro wig and rapped his whole speech, using the broom as a guitar, whilst Jun Ming stood next to him with a bottle of alcohol in his hand and danced like he was drunk. Definitely the most sporting people of the night. :D
Day 2: Went to West Coast Park for
OG outing. The OG really lived up to their name of 'Greed' by whipping out their pack of cards whenever there was free time. Such gambling kings and queens. :P I got darn wet for
Jungle Trek though. Haha, i think that's the worst station for a year 2 to be stationed; all those freshies who figured out that they were really throwing water sponges at each other and not the year 2s started aiming at vincent and me. And I bet some of them weren't blindfolded properly! Aiming's too accurate already. One of the freshies even splashed the ENTIRE pail of water on to Vincent, getting him totally drenched. Haha, but the moment Jo Joy popped by the station, the groups that came by really started believing that they were throwing at the year 2 witnesses of Night Court. You should just look at the enthusiasm with which they were throwing the water sponges at each other. Really hilarious. :P Oh, and really
loved douglas' group for jungle trek, aka Team Random Noises! Each of the six ppl in his group were given a number and a random noise, and whenever a year 2 said a number, the person assigned will have to make the noise. (car screeching, ICQ sound etc.) Haha, K and I made them do a symphony for us: 2-2-2-2-2-1-3-4-5-6. Sounded so cute! Lol.
Day 3: My event,
Water Tele, turned out well! PHEW. After it ended, it was seriously a load off my shoulders. And Joanna said that her OG loved my event! YAY! :D Seriously, after all the planning and dry-runs i went through, it would really have sucked if the activity tanked.
Universal Studios was very funny this year though! Mok and Amardeep were amazing at the Nip-Tuck station, esp Mok's imitation of a transexual, going around putting his hands around the guy freshies that kena-ed the station and giving them flirtatious looks. :P And the freshies were super sporting! In competing to see who had better skills in seducing Amardeep, it went to a point that even us year 2s couldn't bear to look anymore. SO X-rated! Lol. And as expected, a lot of the freshies got tricked into answering wrongly at the Prison Break station. To Sam's 'which colour of light travels the fastest and which the slowest?', almost all went 'red is the fastest and blue the slowest', to which Sam turned and pointed to Nich (who was in red) and went, 'hey guys, the freshies see Nich before they see the rest of you!', then cue spraying the freshie with water from the water gun. And heard that when Ruizi asked 'who do you think is the hottest guy OGL', some girl answered 'your boyfriend' and immediately got sprayed cos Ruizi went 'you are lusting after my boyfriend is it?' Haha, no right answer to that one.
After all the activities, stayed up with the OG to, what else, play cards. :P Haha, i kept losing at bridge. Must be cos i was too tired already. Then joined some of the year 2s for Bluff. The good thing about playing with law ppl is that they have yet to figure out how to tell when i'm lying, which is apparantly very obvious to people like Xiu. Ended up clearing my cards really fast. Only Ian, who was sitting out of the game and looking at what cards i was putting down, realised how much i actually lied. :P
Day 4: It was sleep-in time, followed by
Inter-OG games like frisbee and captain's ball in the afternoon. Then, the freshies dolled up for the highly anticipated
Formal Dinner, where their
Secret Pals were all finally revealed. Initially PY and I came to the consensus that Gao Li and Marcus had potential with their secret pals, but Marcus is already attached! Darn. Nevermind, there's still a chance with Gao Li. He and his girl seemed highly happy with each other. :P Oh, and Marcus won hottest freshie! Haha, he was made to take off his shirt cos of his hot bod, and after that, he was obviously a shoo-in for the title. :P
As with tradition, went to Double O for post-formal dinner partying. Ended up at O bar though, instead of upstairs, cos the upper floor was so crowded that a lot of us couldn't get in. But it was just as well, cos O bar was much less smoky, and the whole place was practically swarming with law ppl. There was so many of us that the DJ was even willing to change his song selection for us. It was quite scary how some of the freshies didn't seem to know their drinking limit though. So many of them were wasted and had to be carried out. Thankfully none of us year 2s disgraced ourselves. All were still relatively sane by the end of the night. I'm seriously amazed at some people's alcohol tolerance though. Marcus drank five jugs' worth of alcohol, and was still perfectly sane. Unbelivable. Haha, i bet if it's me, I would be having a really horrible hangover now.
Day 5: Check out...which means...sleep time! :D Haha, conked out the moment i reached home, and only woke up for dinner. Quite awake now though, which is surprising considering how much sleep i need usually, and how much i didn't sleep the past week. :P
