Went out with wan to bugis yesterday cos she greatly needed the retail therapy...:P:
First stop: We crossed the road to bugis street and headed straight for the second floor...(Wan cos she liked the stuff there better...me cos I'm basically heat-intolerant...:P) We both got this really cool hand-made t-shirt that says 'angel' when you just look at it like that...and 'devil' when you look at the same shirt through the mirror...Haha my mum couldn't understand why on earth i got it cos the shirt looks so PLAIN...but there's more to it than meets the eye man...:P Oh, and I don't know what's with the craze...but saw a lot of shops there that are selling this voodoo doll-like keychain...Wan actually thinks it is CUTE (you are kidding me)...But to me, they are just creepy...especially at one shop where there was this larger version of the doll hanging on display that said 'i am selling my babies at $2.50" Eek... -goosebumps- Oh, and the whole place actually blacked out for a while...Haha quite cool..as you see people all around you start whipping out their handphones...(it was so dark that you could barely see even the person standing next to you...) then before you know it, there are all these square little boxes of light everywhere...:P Oh, and I'm proud to say that i managed to find this really nice KNEE-LENGTH skirt at the shop i was at when the place blacked out...(haha don't worry...waited for the lights to turn on again first to see if it looks good before i bought it...:P) For once my mum couldn't complain about the length! :P
Second stop: Wan wanted to check out this new shopping place called Icon...so went with her across the street to look at it...Didn't find anything i like there...but wan managed to find this nice black skirt at only 15 bucks! Oh, but one thing i hated was having to jaywalk across the road to reach the place...You should have seen the traffic...Wan, the expert jaywalker, had to practically drag a very reluctant me as we weaved across the cars that come and go...kind of like one of those com games where you try to avoid the cars coming at different times at the different lanes...And by the time to cross back to bugis junction, i simply gave up and dragged a reluctant Wan to the traffic light (which was rather far away) to cross...Note to self: try to avoid driving on that road...Don't exactly want to knock down anyone jaywalking...
Anyway, attended uncle lim's son andrew's church wedding today...Realised what people mean when they say a girl looks her best on her wedding day...Rina look really great today! Oh, and there was this little boy sitting next to me at the wedding who was so cute!! Haha, every time someone came up to intro themselves, he would go all "Hi, my name is Owen. I am almost 8 years old. My birthday is coming soon!" :) Haha, also realise that in all my 19 years, this is my first time attending a church wedding..(normally i just go for the feast at the wedding dinners...:P) It's quite an eye-opener...All the prayers and blessings...the proceedings that you go through...It really creates a warmth that you have all your friends, family and relatives blessing your marriage and being there to share in your happiness...:)

P.s. Saw this ice-cream booth that sells wasabi ice-cream at bugis yesterday...Think the very idea of it is just gross...but apparantly it's supposed to be quite good...Bleah...
