'06 day 2 two great services today! :) only slept for 3 hours after i came back from night service yesterday...so i was super zombified when i reached expo at 8am. but thank god i had potato salad to keep me full and awake throughout the whole morning service! pastor talked about how to be like a powerful and effective daniel in today's marketplace. and he also touched on the da vinci code, harry potter and how the church should view these influences on society. though it was a familiar message which pastor had already shared with us before a few weeks ago, it still brought new revelations and insights to me. "Though we are IN this world, we are NOT OF this world!" that was the main theme of today's message.
then went for PHS concert after service with shiqi, sally and zhen yi. it was not that bad la..but i felt bad for sleeping during the chinese orchestra performance. *sheepish grin* oops! haha. but the finale item with the lightsticks was quite hilarious... it got sally hooked onto the song You Raise Me Up with the funny airplane traffic-controller actions =D haha. we should bring lightsticks tmr night..it'll be great fun!
rushed down for night service after the concert. oh my gosh, it's a sin to miss the night service 'cos it was really good! guess wad?? the highlight of the service was when they invited Kelly Poon, Hong Jun Yang and TAUFIK BATISAH!!! a star-studded night indeed. wow we screamed and screamed till our throats were sore and dry and hoarse. thats why im sucking on lozanges now. hehe :) the night preaching was even better, 'cos pastor preached about the importance of cultivating our spiritual hunger. he shared about how Jabez had extraordinary visions because he was thirsty for the Lord every single day. that's why we should experience God and have daily encounters with Him. =D
