9 happy certified sailors!
Sailing! Day 3 =)
weather was pretty cloudy today, and we were told there might be jellyfishes in the sea. hmm.
practical assessment involved a pretty simple route...beating up into the wind by tacking and then doing a run on the way back. then we performed the man overboard drill and heave-to (something like parking, haha) we were much more cautious of the boom..after what happened the day before. so there were fewer stories of people suffering from concussions after being whacked smack-on by the boom. haha :)
then the instructors led us on a mini-expedition to loyang beach and then back to coney island. Woot! we had nice strong winds today so the trip was really enjoyable. hiking rocks! we were all travelling at close-haul at pretty high speeds so most of the time we were hiking and using our body weight to balance the boat. so we really got to lean our body out, pull in the mainsheet tight and ride the waves! twas was adrenaline-pumping & exhilarating! loved the feeling of zipping across the sea with the boat humming away...it makes u feel really really high. haha!
oh yea. i almost got ziyang's head sliced off today. his boat capsized and while he was trying to upright it, my boat suddenly caught wind and picked up speed. prob is, my boat was headed straight in his direction...straight at his head, to be more precise. oops! luckily he moved fast enough or else his head would be... erm well, yea i'll leave the imagination up to u.

half baked. we bought the ben & jerry's ice-cream bar which tastes so so good.
"Cookie Dough Ice Cream on a Brownie with a Thick Drizzle of Milk Chocolate Coating!" Mmmmm...im getting fat on B&J's. haha. and we discovered a new flavour - Magic Brownies!! drools.
