Went to NUS High School early in the morning today for the fun fair for MINDS kids. (Man i could barely wake up :P) Vincent and I were in charge of the pinata booth, along with 3 NUS High students: Joseph, Jian Hong and Tze Shen. The NUS High guys were quite enthu, helping us to continuously hang up more pinatas, and to help guide the children through whacking the paper bags. Kudos to them! :) Poor Wen Lin at the photo booth had to deal with LONG queues of ppl waiting to snap a shot though. Kept seeing her snapping photos and then coming over to reload the film over and over again. Haha, she looked SO busy, while Vincent and I could actually slack for short periods of time when there was no one at our booth...:P On a more personal note, it was great to be involved in some community service at last, since I've kind of been meaning to since the start of the year...and the MINDS children generally looked like they had loads of fun, which made all the preparation we had to make prior to the fair worthwhile! :D
Then, at Eugene's suggestion, went to KFC for a rather late lunch at around 3pm. Thankfully Wen Lin could come along (Pei Yin and Joanna both had to leave...) or it would have been weird with me as the only girl, and I probably would have chosen to leave and starve...:P Shared cheese fries with Aloysius and Vikrum...Yummy!! Haha, Wen Lin just would not succumb to the temptation of the fries in front of her, even though I kept trying. Then again, she doesn't like cheese...(which I still cannot fathom...:P) so no wonder she was not so eager at trying out the fries, even though I tried my best to find a cheese-less one for her. :P
Anyway, on the way home, bumped into Harold, who was waiting at the Bedok bus interchange for his dad after his basketball session at Kembangan. Almost didn't recognise him cos of his change of hairdo...:P Haha, he was complaining about how all the med ppl like Teck Tee and Min Jia are happily disrupted from army and can lead a free life as "Mr blah blah blah, instead of Officer blah blah blah", while he's still stuck in army camp. Ah well, at least 2 years later he can fly overseas for uni, while I'm still stuck in Singapore...;)
