Had mock client meeting for lawr today. My tutor's email read something along the lines of 'you should dress in what you deem as appropriate', and my tg happily decided that it meant that we can dress as per normal. (After all, if everyone is dressed informally, then no one would get an extra penalty right? :P) Haha, imagine our absolute horror when K's class turned up, all of them in their crisp white shirts/blouses and black pants...and even black ties for some of the guys... -faint- However, I must say that it was one of the most enjoyable lawr sessions I've had so far. The acting by the tutors, some of the things that my tg mates said, it just made the whole thing DARN hilarious. Heard Bernice's session was MUCH funnier though...and with the people in her class...no wonder..:P Anyway, the best 2 quotes of the day:
(scenerio: teachers are newspaper reporters, trying to pry info out of Nicholas and K, the lawyers)
Tutor: why wouldn't you want to give us any information? It'll give publicity to your firm!
K: Well, that will lead to negative publicity, and will likely shame the firm.
Tutor: Ahhh...
ASHAMED of the firm! Ahhhh this is good...let me write this down!! -rapid scribbling- Ashamed..of...the...firm...
Other tutor: Oh, so what are the facts of this case?
Nicholas: (blah blah some other stuff)...where we give the prisoners the usual treatment...
Tutor:
USUAL TREATMENT? Wow...-to other teacher- it sounds like a spa, don't you think? Must write this down...Yes...usual...treatment...
(scenerio: my tutor is acting as Chan's mother, and Kennedy and Charm are the ones on spot)
Tutor: -after talking through quite A LOT with kennedy and charm- Oh, actually I don't have a lot of money
Kennedy: ...Oh.
Tutor: -out of character- and that ends the discussion, as there's no money to pay!
