heart's needle

once she has set her heart on something, she will not let it go. but now she ain't so sure, anymore. she puts on her skates and tries to cut through the ice, in preparation of flight. on frozen Esthwaite Water. she attempted a jump, albeit a tad too greedy. or maybe the ice is just thinning, melting, waning.. she landed a little too hard, a little too awkward. evidently, she crashed. picking herself up, she pushed on with a heart of glass. stainless steel wings upon the trail for miles. with ad curvaceous panache, she executed a dazzling pirouette, twirled in carousel fashion, and ended off with a penultimate featly fouette. The skate would last, until her grief graced a fourchette, and the sorrow, was a thing of the past.
