mr hungry caterpillarin the light of the moon a little egg lay on the leaf
one fine day the egg cracked and out came a tiny little caterpillar
he was very hungry after having cooped up for so long in that shell of his
and so he started to eat
and eat and eat.
he eats his way through one apple on Monday
two pears on Tuesday
three plums on Wednesday
and so on,
through cherry pie and sausage
---until he is really fat and has a stomachache
(and i am quite sure you know what happens after that!)
i envy mr hungry caterpillar
how nice to eat so much and turn into something beautiful after that :)))
