Anyway, went for NUS vs Combined UK Schools moots at the Singapore Legal Forum yesterday. Haha all us law peeps were being super enthu about all the freebies that were up for grabs at the law career fair. Everyone was shamelessly getting free ice-cream from this ice-cream guy who was walking around the place, plus strategically walking up to certain law firms' booth to get free cupcakes and umbrellas. :p
Natalie Morris for the Combined UK Schools side of the moots is
super powerful. Love her tone, pacing and the way she handles questions from the judges. Man i aspire to be as good as that. We were all rather shocked that she didn't win best speaker. Not that Jared Kok was all that bad. In fact, he was pretty impressive himself, although we have christened him with a not-so-impressive nickname, Surf and Turf, cos of his recent appearance in KFC commericals. :P
Then went for Bourne Ultimatum! I was quite amazed that we actually managed to get seats considering how last minute we got the tixs and how we're talking about watching at PS, which almost always runs out of tixs 2-3hrs before. The movie certainly lived up to its expectations though. I can't say much about the first two movies, since I can barely remember what they were like, but the third one was just amazing. Especially loved the scenes depicting Bourne outsmarting the whole team of CIA agents. Unbelievable. :P
Met up with the 3c peeps for dinner and fireworks! Everywhere in city hall was DARN packed, and even though we were initially determined not to resort to fast food, ended up buying our food at carl's junior. Haha oopz sorry to the UK and US ppl! We then got ourselves squashed at the steps at marina square to watch the fireworks display! It started 20min late, but it sure was worth the wait. :P
We were all getting bored because the fireworks wasn't starting and so started photo-whoring...

...and pics of the fireworks!
