FridayMet up with lilian and WT after work. GSS had started!! But in the end, none of us got anything from any of the sales. Haha I think that's cos we spent more time emo-ing than actually looking at the clothes proper. Food at the Asian Kitchen was good though. I'm not really a noodles person, but thought their la mian was really quite amazing! Quite filling though! Wanted to try their dou sha xiao long bao (YUM my absolute fav xiao long bao) but couldn't find any more space in my tummy to fit that in. Awww darn.
Walking around in my 2.5 inches black work pumps was KILLER. By the end of the night, i was not walking anymore...more like i was dragging my feet around. Even standing on the mrt on the way home was painful! :S You should have seen what my feet looked like when i took my shoes off at home. It's mildly fascinating how they looked like, for lack of a better description, 2 bloated red lumps. Not the best sight. :P
SaturdayMahjong! Eugene, py, vincent and i first met at adam's road for nasi lemak (ooo i was craving that!!) before heading down to school for our mj session. (haha yes we actually DO have a mahjong set AND mahjong table in school) Surprise surprise i lost money AGAIN. Haha vincent seemed quite shocked when i told him that out of all my mj sessions, i've only won money once. So his motto of 'shu shao suan ying' really applies to me. :P And going by that, since in the end it only worked out to an overall deficit of 4 bucks, all's well and good! Poor py lost a total of 26 bucks though. Her luck really quite suay. Every time she was waiting for a 5 tai, the tiles she wanted just DID NOT come, even though no one was really guarding her as all her tiles were covered. Then in the 1.5 rounds we played, she also barely won any rounds. Haha maybe the next time we play she REALLY should wear her lucky red shorts again. That won her SO MUCH money the other time! (I heart pain just thinking about it...No prizes for guessing who she won money from. :P) Py has insisted she won't play again for the rest of this year though. But I doubt she can resist temptation. :P
Eugene, vincent and I then headed to tiong bahru for dinner, cos eugene was determined to get his lu ding ji from the TS branch there. Spontaneously, we decided to catch Speed Racer, and very randomly, we bumped into lui (who lives around that area), and so the four of us ended up catching that movie together. The movie was...bizarre...to begin with, but once you get used to the cartoon-ish effects, it's actually quite nice! Not much of a plot though really, but i like the racing, which coincidentally is SO similar to this game 'Age of Speed' that i had been rather obsessed with on miniclips not too long ago! Now to figure out how to make my race car drift in the game (which just looks SO cool in the movie. :P)
SundayBead shopping, round 2. Although this time round, I was much more liberal in my choosing and buying of beads, which...let's just say...amounted to A LOT of money. Applebay bead shop at Chinatown Point has LOADS of pretty beads! I had missed it the first time i went bead shopping a week ago because it closes at 5pm, but luckily this time round i decided to check it out, cos it has SO MANY beads i wanted! Of course, they didn't come cheap though. But still highly satisfied with my purchases. :P Also found another bead shop on the third floor of Chinatown Point selling swarovski crystals (which applebay didn't really stock), so thankfully didn't have to go back to that shop at People's Park Centre and stare at the shop assistants' black faces as they choose out the crystals for me. And I got the crystals cheaper this time round too! :D

My proud acquisitions!
Then met wan at cine for Made of Honour. Don't know why mags like 8 days only gave it 2 stars, cos it was HILARIOUS! Patrick Dempsey is SO charming and funny! And wan and i can't help observing that Michelle Monaghan looks like a mix between sandra bullock, selma blair and Anne Hathaway, but anyways she also had great chemistry with Patrick Dempsey, which makes this movie a must watch! :P
Dinner was at this place at the basement of cine called Korean BBQ or something along those lines. In one word: YUM. :P

The name of this dish is called Jerk BBQ, which I found mildly amusing. The chicken is super succulent! Reminded wan and me of PS food court's Indonesian Chicken Leg set. :D

Original Chicken. Kinda looks and tastes like KFC chicken, only this meal is more ex. Apparently it's cooked with olive oil though, which is supposed to make it more healthy. Ah, anything to justify eating fried chicken without feeling guilty. :P
