Had a great weekend!
YesterdayWoke up bright and early (for me anyway) at 9 plus so that i could make it down to kbox at marina for klunch! Lilian commented that I looked super tired, even though she was the one who woke up earlier at 7+. Haha oopz. We made the bad mistake of singing zhang hui mei songs at the start, and it didn't take long for us all to be drinking water and taking turns to rest our vocals. :P Sadly, the kbox session was SO unsatisfying! Apparently marina kbox is smarter and actually utilizes this electronic function that halts all the songs once time is up, so we couldn't keep insisting that we'll be singing our 'last' song and plonk our butts there for ages without leaving. So ended up with only 2.5hrs to sing (cos we only made it in at 11.30 owing to the queue), and didn't get to belt out many songs! Pity! Haha we all had kbox withdrawal symptoms after that, thinking of all the great songs we had lined up but didn't get to sing. :P
Then, because i was DETERMINED not to spend money shopping, and cos wt and lilian were not too keen on that either, headed down to suntec arcade. The drum game thing was ok, Mario kart was FUN (although somehow i ended up too far ahead so i didn't throw any weapons at all, and was holding on to my tornado for AGES without anything to do with it), we still didn't beat the high score for spot the difference (what's new? :P), i sucked at Time Crisis 3 (as usual), and we ALL sucked at this random hk game thingy where you push red, blue and green buttons (we failed all but one game! Wow that must be a record for what should have been rather foolproof. :P) But the highlight of the whole arcade experience must be this new game thingy where you shoot balls (the kind you find in childrens' ball pits in places like IKEA) at the screen at the random objects that you are told to shoot at, depending on which of about 10 minigames you choose from. Initially there were only kids playing that game. Then us brave souls blatantly ignored the fact that we were more than twice the age of the children playing before us and decided to give it a try, and before we knew it, when we were done, -voila-, there was a queue of people around our age or even older behind us! What's more, that queue never stopped even after we left the arcade! What can i say...we're trendsetters. :P (I actually woke up with my arms aching today because of that game though. Can't believe it! I swim 30 laps and i'm perfectly fine; then i throw a few of those balls that children throw, and my arms are dying...OMG i suck. :P)
After that, it was off to RGS reunion! It's quite amazing seeing everyone again, especially since it's been awhile since we all last met up. Although not the whole batch was there, the turnout was fairly decent, especially amongst 4/9 people. :) Going around exploring the K S Chee Theatre, amphitheatre, 409 classroom etc really brought back many great memories, and made me even more sure that the rgs days were the best years of my schooling life. We even sang the school song and did a RGS cheer, lead by the prefects of our year, just like the good old days. Can't believe that 5 years have actually passed since we graduated. Really makes you feel old! :P
Xiu's photos!

Shots of a few of us at the amphitheatre. (And a photo of Tarbet's banner this year! LOVE the theme. Theatre rocks! :P)

Classroom of the current 409, who're clearly living up to the tradition of being the funkiest class ever! Check out the classroom deco!
TodayMet up with xf and lilian in town first for a bit of walking around (i refuse to say shopping. :P) Despite my HUGE determination not to get anything, bought a vest from ZARA. Nooooo...Feeling SO guilty now. :(:( But when your friends go on about the benefits of being able to pair it with white tops, black tops, and tube tops, and that i can bring it on exchange to wear too, how could i resist right?
Right?? :P
We then met up with Erica and Felicia for Hancock, which turned out to be rather disappointing. All was good and well at the start, and the concept of hancock as the superhero who was misunderstood and who was trying to gain a better reputation was actually rather refreshing. Then they added in a superwoman, threw in some romance, and made a weak attempt at explaining how hancock and that superwoman came about, and the whole movie just ended up going nowhere. Sad, for actually i DO like will smith.
