The weather's been terrible today. It was sunny, then rainy, then sunny again, then a second downpour, and it goes on....It's like the sky is determined to ruin my running plans. Either that, or challenging me to run fast enough so i'd finish within 30min and avoid the next downpour.
Anyway, going down to kent ridge had been somewhat of a nuisance. The journey into campus takes me about 1.5hrs, and I have been in and out of that place 3 times already these few weeks. Thankfully my laptop's back, and most of the medical issues for exchange has (hopefully) been settled. It made me really grateful that law has moved to btc. So much more convenient! And three cheers for bus no. 48!
On another note, the Beijing Olympics is just amazing! It has become a daily routine over these couple of weeks: wake up for Olympics, continue watching until i go out (if at all), then come back and switch on the tv again. The athletes this time round are just sensational. Already have my faves: Michael Phelps (swimming), Shawn Johnson and Nastia Luikin (Artistic Gymnastics) and the USA volleyball team (haha yes i DO realise that somehow they're all from America). The swimmers and runners put me to shame though! 2 laps of the pool in 1min?! 400m around the track in 1min too?!?! At least I'd always known my running speed was sucky, so people like usain bolt can bolt as fast as they want for all i care. But for a while i was actually quite proud of my 1min+ timing per lap in the pool! Wah, clearly i was highly misconceived!!
(And yep...it has started raining...AGAIN. SIGH...)
